Juliet’s artistic focus is on exploring the unique expressive potential of thread. Her mixed media & textile artworks are strongly grounded in her drawing skills. She primarily uses freehand machine embroidery to create artworks that explore themes relating to female identity and experience, embracing empowerment and body positivity.

Juliet was born in Scotland and studied Fine Art at Edinburgh University achieving a MA(Hons) Fine Art (Sculpture). She has been creating and exhibiting her artwork in Melbourne since 2004. Juliet has staged multiple solo shows, exhibits regularly in group exhibitions and has won awards for her artwork.

In 2024 Juliet completed a Graduate Certificate in Visual Art from the VCA, University of Melbourne. Her more recent work has seen her develop a deeper conceptual approach to her practice, founded on her strong research skills whilst expanding her use of materials and exploring installation based projects.
